Annual Dues Increase

Our current dues: $40 (Last raised - 2017)

  • NEAFS: $60

  • SWAFS: $50 

  • MAFS: $50 

  • NWAFS: $50

  • SAFS: $35

Vote to raise annual dues to $50

By-laws Change 1: 2.2.2/2.2.2.1

Add requirement of two years of work to regular membership. Including clarification that training time counts towards the two years.​​

Justification: 

  • NEAFS: masters/doctorate + 2 years/bachelors + 3 years/no degree + 10 years

  • SAFS: bachelors + 3 years/ no degree + 10

  • SWAFS: two years

  • MAFS: bachelors + 2 years/no degree + 10

  • NWAFS: spend one year as “provisional member” before upgrade to regular

Add flexibility for type of forensic work
